Nantong Huigang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd originated from Qidong Fishing Vessel General Factory, a key enterprise of the Administration of Agriculture. The company is located in the beautiful and fertile Yangtze Delta, the north shore of estuary of Yangtze River, Wucang Port where the waters of the East China Sea, Yellow Sea and Yangtze River are joined, and facing Shanghai , the Financial & Trade Center of China. The company now has more than 1,100 employees, of which more than 150 are technicians and managers, and more than 40 have medium-grade or senior professional titles. Covering an area of 590,000 square meters, architectural area of 50,000 square meters, the company consists of Research & Design Center, Computer Center, Material Laboratory, Welding Laboratory, and Measuring Room, where computer aided design and management are adopted. In recent years, the company, with the progressive and innovative technology, has absorbed lots of advanced shipbuilding and ship repair technique and integral production equipments to strengthen the management, and has got good effect. The company is able to build and design all kinds of ships below 80,000 tons, and undertake the ship fittings including shafting, rudder, fixed pitch propeller, controllable pitch propeller, condenser, shaft housing filter, sacrificial anode, etc. So far, the company has built and undertook Holland 135m chemical cargo ship, Hong Kong 18,500 tons bulk-cargo ship, Singapore 3200HP deep-sea tug, 4500 m 3 dredger, 260TEU, 700TEU, Germany 900TEU, 18000DWT oil tanker, 3000DWT bulk-cargo ship, etc, and the integral quality of which has been consistently recognized by ship-owners and the vessel inspection organizations at home and abroad.
